The president of Turkey gave a new grandiose recital on Friday Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his speech to graduates of military schools on the occasion of the anniversary of the Asia Minor disaster. Tayyip Erdogan has made it clear that Turkey has geopolitical goals and interests that go far beyond its borders, and when necessary he will intervene accordingly.
“If we ignore the developments in our region and the geography of our hearts, then we will be fooling ourselves. Where we have an expatriate from the Adriatic to the steppes of Asia, then his case is our case. From the Caucasus to Africa, where we have a brother of ours, his dirt is also our dirt,” he said characteristically.
“As with Azerbaijan we are united by the principle of “two states and one nation”, so we have the same pulse with our brothers in the Turkish-speaking countries. How can we turn our backs on Jerusalem? where our ancestors ruled it in peace and justice? How can we keep our eyes closed for Palestine, where Mustafa Kemal had fought to prevent the enemy from entering? How can we close our ears to the cries of our Palestinian brothers who for 11 months Israel has been committing genocide against them? Who can separate Istanbul from Jerusalem?! Who can cut off Gaza from Gaziantep?asked the Turkish president.
“Whoever tries to limit the horizon of Turkey to 782 thousand square kilometers, if he is not ignorant, then he is certainly a stranger to these lands. We didn’t allow them to imprison us in the shallows, we didn’t pay attention to them… we won’t let them. We will think with a focus on Turkey, but our vision will include the whole world.”
