The meeting of the Central Committee is crucial for his future SYRIZAcommented the representative of the party speaking to SKAI Voula Kehagiawhich invited all executives to openly present all issues before the KE and to get things in order, if some procedures are to be initiated.

He noted that the executives should by statute initiate procedures, as Stefanos Kasselakis was statutorily elected president of the party 1 year ago with a mandate for 3 years based on the statute.

“If there are issues, everything will be done institutionally and by statute,” emphasized Mrs. Kehagia and added that the president says that if there is a questionable issue, it should be included in the statute.

“We must all respect the statute, whoever raises the issue of leadership must seek to initiate procedures as provided for in the statute. Anyone who wants, can put all the issues in the central committee,” he said.

He continued by saying that we cannot continue with the scenarios of MPs leaving the party, we have been hearing this since last year. “I haven’t seen them leave and I hope it doesn’t happen,” added Mrs. Kehagia.

She admitted that “we are in a very difficult period, SYRIZA is going through perhaps the biggest crisis in its history. We don’t sweep problems under the carpet. We are in a critical phase and we are fooling ourselves if we pretend not to see it. Let everyone speak openly to the KE and see how we can continue.”

He emphasized that the point is not a new split, but to show society that we are the solution to society’s problems. “We have a program and you will see it at TIF” he emphasized.

Mrs. Kehagia also admitted that SYRIZA is troubled by its internal parties. “We are tired and some are tired in the party” he said and added that SYRIZA will endure.

For her Popi Tsapanidou she said that she has been sworn in as a SYRIZA MP and we welcome her. As he said, there was no planning with the resignation of Othon Iliopoulos, who did not resign with the prospect of the seat going to Mr. Kasselakis, he had inherent difficulties with his capacity at the university.

He added that politically all parties would like their president in Parliament, but that does not mean that there would be a violation of the constitutional provision.
