With his post, he commented on the decision of the appeals court acquitting 4 KEELPNO executives
Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis speaks of a day of great joy and vindication, after the acquittal of all four defendants in the trial for the recruitments at KEELPNO in the period 2013-2014.
“September 2, 2024, a day we will remember because Justice won over injustice! That finally in our country there is Justice. And that when you tell the Truth, you have absolutely nothing to fear,” the Minister of Health wrote to X.
Today is a day of great joy and vindication.

Mr. Georgiadis refers to how the then Deputy Minister of Health of SYRIZA, Pavlos Polakis, implicated him and his wife in the case of illegal recruitment, he looks back on the developments that followed and led to the formation of an Inquiry Committee in the Parliament.

“Today is a day of great joy and vindication.
September 2, 2024, a day we will remember, because Right has won over Wrong!
That finally in our country there is Justice.
And that when you speak the Truth you have absolutely nothing to fear…
It was in 2017, when in an unrelated meeting of the Parliament, the then Deputy Minister of Health of @syriza_gr
@pavpol2222 accused me of illegal recruitments at KEELPNO and even implicated my wife in them, with some of her alleged shenanigans. This is how I met this unlikely couple, @stamatispoulis and his wife Ms. Andronikis Theofilatou, who immediately informed me of the blackmail he did to them, so that they would testify against me and that they refused to be complicit in such a great dishonor .
When Polakis saw that his slander would not pass, he filed a complaint with the then Corruption Prosecutor Mrs. Raikou, who, to her credit, showed no interest, apparently realizing that there was no case.
When they led Mrs. Raikou to resign, with the well-known events that she later denounced and methodized her change with Mrs. Touloupaki, this lady proceeded with Felony Prosecutions for Infidelity.
They set up a Commission of Inquiry in the Parliament, where in the end they didn’t find anything against me, but Polakis took all his anger out on the employees, whom – and on the occasion of the prosecution brought by Ms. Touloupaki – he unfairly dismissed from the Organization.
It is the first and only time, in the history of the Greek State, that the Government dismissed the President of a Trade Union body, without a Court decision!
The Left and Mr. Polakis did it for the first time.
These children, along with all their other co-accused, have since fought a titanic battle.
They faced the rigged control of the Inspector appointed by SYRIZA at the time Ms. Papaspyrou, their dismissal, the slanders.
But they remained standing for today’s absolute vindication.
A while ago, the Three-member Court of Criminal Appeals, after a long-term process, in which Pavlos Polakis intervened outside the institution, unanimously declared all the defendants NOT guilty.
In fact, the Court did not examine any statutes of limitations or anything formal.
He tried on the merits and concluded in their solemn acquittal, finding that no crime at all had been committed.
That is what I was saying from the first moment that day when I lost my temper in the Parliament.
Now, based on the decision of the Labor Court, the dismissed will claim and receive their re-employment at KEELPNO, while at the same time we will have to pay them retroactively and with interest all the wages they have lost over the years due to their unfair dismissal.
Who will pay this huge financial loss to the Agency?
Polakis from his pocket?
I declare that, if there is a legal way for the Organization to claim this money from the slanderer Polakis, we will do so, as a reminder in perpetuity that Ministers cannot and should not be able to do whatever they want.
We are not tyrants, but we rule according to the laws.
And we cannot and must not use our temporal power for political and selfish ends.
The joy is complete, as a little while ago I learned that the request to lift the immunity of Polakis was forwarded to the Parliament by the Areopagus, for my lawsuit about “indefinite”, “oil merchant” etc., and his ongoing slanders about Novartis.
And for these he will be accountable to the Greek Justice.
I publicly thank Mrs. Andronikis Theofilatou and her husband, Mr. Stamatis Poulis, because if they had lied, as Polakis asked them to, they would have been spared the suffering of so many years, but for me it would have remained a slander.
Thanks!”
