The restoration of Thessaly is a first priority for the government and this is proven by the symbolic presence of the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, yesterday, almost a year after Daniel, in the region, but also by the reconstruction program of more than 3 billion euros, which announced, emphasized the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Kostas Tsiaras, in an interview on SKAI radio, with Dimitris Oikonomou and Akis Pavlopoulos.

To date, noted Mr. Tsiaras, more than 180 million euros have been allocated to the region from the State Aid, 270 million for production compensation (expected to exceed 310 million euros), approximately 237 million euros have been given to Local Self-Government, while infrastructure projects exceeding 1.4 billion euros are already being carried out.

As the Minister of Rural Development and Food pointed out, the government with its policy proves that it stands by the citizens of Thessaly, but he clarified that anyone who thinks that the reconstruction program can be implemented by the government with a “magic wand” is delusional. one moment to another.

As Mr. Tsiaras explained, especially with regard to environmental licensing, European rules must be followed, specifying that the government’s planning foresees a five-year period for the completion of the projects. As far as the projects related to agricultural production are concerned, he said that they have a dual nature, since, in addition to irrigation, they will also be anti-flooding projects.
