SYRIZA MP Olga Gerovasili spoke of “historical responsibilities of everyone” towards the major issues of society, when she was invited to comment on developments in the party, speaking on the “Today” show on SKAI.

To the question if three days before the Central Committee, there is room for a solution, he answered that the “leaders can unite to face the crises with courageous decisions”, adding, however, that the counter-distraction movements do not help and leave “society coldly indifferent”.

The solution, as Mrs. Gerovasili said, could be given today, “by the president himself putting himself to the judgment of the members”.

Regarding the name change proposed by Kasselakis, the MP said “symbolism has its role. I appreciate that today an agenda is unfolding by which it must be judged.”

Asked if there is an impact on society from the events unfolding in SYRIZA, he characteristically said that “the party, the parliamentary group is shrinking and society is being divided, with the responsibility of the president”.

When asked if she herself will be a candidate, she answered that we are going “step by step”.
