What are the reports saying after Al-Sisi’s visit to Ankara – Manolis Kostidis reports
“The ultimate goal with Egypt is the agreement in the Eastern Mediterranean” writes the Turkish newspaper Milliyet, as broadcast from Istanbul by Manolis Kostidis.
HABER GLOBAL TV report: “There is an agreement that Greece has made with Egypt, this was done at a time when our own relations with Egypt were not good. But on the other hand, a quick step was taken and we had signed an EEZ definition agreement with Libya. Thus Turkey and Libya met in the seas. Now maybe a cooperation maybe even an agreement between Turkey and Egypt will start. Look at the map and you will see Greece with Egypt? Turkey and Egypt. Reason is with us and we may see this in the next period”.
Documentary-response to Famagusta
“We have prepared and will show a documentary that will show the pain and cruelty caused by the Greeks to the Turks” announced yesterday the Ministry of Defense Turkeywhile Ankara’s reactions to the series continue Famagusta which is shown on Netflix.
Defense Ministry spokesman Zeki Aktur said: “It is clear that the series called ‘Famagusta’ and similar provocative initiatives distorting historical data with the aim of black propaganda, which are announced to be broadcast on a digital platform, and which include great disrespect to memories of our Turkish Cypriot brothers, who were brutally murdered by Greek Cypriot gangs, will not benefit anyone, including the Greek side. Such futile efforts that discredit the peace operation in Cyprus, which brought peace and tranquility to both sides, serve the impasse. They damage the security environment provided on the island.
» On the other hand, the ’50th Anniversary Documentary’ prepared by our ministry, which tells the realities of the reasons that led to the Peace Operation in Cyprus and not fabricated scenarios, will be broadcast on various platforms with English subtitles.
» We will continue to stand by our Cypriot brothers, as we have done until now, regarding our national cause, Cyprus.
» Also, the documentary entitled ‘The Next Day’, which based on objective and historical documents tells the cruelty and pain caused by the Greek army to the Turks during the War of Independence, will be broadcast on TRT Belgesel on September 9″ .
Fidan in Skopje
The Turkish Foreign Minister in his speech spoke of “North Macedonia”, but also “Macedonia”.
“As you know, I have visited ‘Macedonia’ and Skopje many times in various roles over the past 20 years. Turkey has unwaveringly supported North Macedonia since its independence and will continue to support it.
Dear friends, we attach great importance to our friendship, cooperation and alliance with North Macedonia.
Together with my esteemed counterpart, we exchanged ideas on how we could take our bilateral relations even further in the new period of governance of ‘Macedonia’.
We aim to increase our trade volume between us and ‘Macedonia’ to 2 billion dollars.
My honorable counterpart and I also discussed what kind of steps we need to take to achieve this. We closely follow the development movements in North Macedonia. We also believe that with the new government, growth will accelerate.
