The Ethics, Statute and Certification Committee (EDEKAP) has officially announced the candidates for the presidency of PASOK.

In particular, in the announcement, EDEKAP states that by completing on Wednesday 11/09/2024 the foreseen control of the signatures submitted to the Committee for the declaration of the candidates for President of the Movement, it found that all 6 candidates meet the conditions set out in the Statute and specifically the collection of signatures of either 15% of the members of the Central Political Committee, or the collection of 5,000 signatures of members, noting that all candidates submitted unique signatures multiples of the prescribed limit for their declaration.

Following this, it unanimously decided to announce as candidates for the office of President of PASOK-Movement for Change during the electoral process of October 6, 2024 Nikos Androulakis, Pavlos Geroulano, Nadia Giannakopoulou, Anna Diamantopoulou, Harry Doukas and Michalis Katrinis.

It is noted that the candidates for the nomination of the new president of PASOK had on Monday officially filed their nominations with all declaring that they had collected the necessary signatures, i.e. at least 5,000 signatures or 15% of the members of the Central Committee, as provided by the statutes requirements.

In particular, Nikos Androulakis, collected 24,810 signatures and 170 signatures of members of the Parliamentary Committee.

Haris Doukas collected 100 signatures of members of the Parliamentary Committee.

Pavlos Geroulanos presented 8,000 signatures and Anna Diamantopoulou 5-6,000.

Michalis Katrinis collected around 14,000 signatures and Nadia Giannakopoulou 8,500.

Finally, Yannis Kanellakis claimed that he collected the necessary 5,000 signatures, but in his letter to the Ethics Committee he requests that the collection of signatures not be used as the sole criterion for participation.
