With the official announcement of the 6 candidates for the leadership of PASOK, by EDEKAP, in the afternoon, Anna Diamantopoulou invited the remaining candidates to agree to the debate.
The PASOK leadership candidate said in her statement: “Now that it has been finalized who are the official PASOK leadership candidates, in the October 6 elections, I invite and challenge my fellow candidates to a first debate with the main topic:
What is the Center Left today?
What does social democracy stand for in the 21st century?
How do each of us understand these concepts?
What do we tell the younger and distanced from politics generations that the center-left that PASOK invokes and even the shares of SYRIZA really expresses”.
As Mrs. Diamantopoulou emphasized, “it is a first start to bring politics back to the fore and our beliefs to the center.
To re-engage old friends and comrades and to attract new ones to our own views on dealing with the diverse and multifaceted problems of today and tomorrow.
I hope for everyone’s response, as a harbinger of the Great PASOK that we all declare that we are seeking”.
