Because we knew that if we didn’t have such a fleet, if we didn’t do it with our own engineers, technicians and our own geologists and charter ships, etc., these operations in the Mediterranean would not take place. So, we vigorously launched these activities in the Mediterranean.

Alpaslan Bayraktar: Yes, very close. On the left side is where our continental shelf is. All these points are the places where we drill. The 3 places on the right, i.e. in the south and east of the island, are the areas that ‘TDBK’ has granted permission to the Turkish state company. We did our drilling in these areas. But because we could not discover something of economic value, i.e. such a production potential as in the Black Sea, in the first phase we gave weight to the Black Sea.

But this does not mean that we have abandoned (we have given up) the Blue Homeland and research in the Mediterranean. Our current work is focused on the Black Sea, but we will definitely come back to the Mediterranean with a different perspective.
