It was officially deleted from its KO New Republic the deputy of Etoloakarnania Marios Salmaswho left a few minutes ago from the ND Ethics Committee meeting.

In his statement, Mr. Salmas said: “If Mr. Mitsotakis deletes me because I reacted to the properties that are lost due to bad loans, because I opposed the woke agenda for homosexuals, because I asked him to check the cartels accurately, then it is my honor

But if he does it to send a message to others, it is unacceptable.

If it is used as a pretext that I highlighted a photography contest of the Ministry of Culture that was scandalously awarded to a company, then let me declare and remind that the control of the parliamentarians and the unlimited freedom of speech is constitutionally guaranteed and in no case constitutes a reason for deletion”.

When asked if he would hand over the seat, he replied: “Do you think I should stop the battle for the many?”.

The MP of Etoloakarnania was referred to the Ethics Committee of the ND after the letter with the question of the deletion that he sent to the chairman of the committee, Yannis Tragakisthe prime minister.

The decision of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, while he is in the USA, to proceed with this move, sends a clear message within the party and its parliamentary group that criticism is acceptable, but with limits and without deviations from the principles that govern the way of operation of the party, sounding the alarm to other MPs who will choose to follow Mr. Salma’s tactics.

The MP of Etoloakarnania is dismissed for anti-parliamentary, anti-party and anti-colleague behavior, in a period where, in the absence of an opposition, a portion of blue-collar MPs have made it clear that they are willing to take on the role of the internal party opposition.
