The party’s candidate for president, Pavlos Geroulanos, spoke to SKAI about the recent polls regarding the next president of PASOK and the participation in Sunday’s internal party polls.

Mr. Geroulanos expressed his optimism for a large turnout at the polls saying: “I believe that we will comfortably pass the threshold of 270 thousand voters of the previous internal party elections, maybe if we reach 350,000.”

The presidential candidate supported his candidacy with arguments and why he can lead the party, stressing that “I am the only one who can beat Kyriakos Mitsotakis”.

“On Sunday what is expected of the next president of the party is at stake, the bar has been raised very high,” he said.

In case he qualifies for the second round, Mr. Geroulanos said he will seek a debate. In the second round on October 13, the top two of the first round will face off.

In the event that he is elected president, “I will be very happy to work with my fellow candidates the next day, as long as they also break the effort we are going to make.”
