With the pre-election period in Koumoundourou and Harilaou Trikoupi ongoing, the two parties still have some things in common.

They are about the tactics used by candidates to smear their opponents.

A blame game started in the official opposition as to who will be “charged” for not holding the meeting proposed by Pavlos Polakis.

The meeting envisioned by the Chanioti MP with the five candidates and the institutional representatives of the party and the parliamentary group will not take place.

He insists and will be -unexpectedly- today at 12.30 in Koumoundourou, however it is most likely that he will only meet with Stefanos Kasselakis.

Sokratis Famellos stated that “obviously in consultation with the party’s organs, I can participate in any meeting that will provide solutions”, making it clear that such an appointment should take place under the “umbrella” of the Political Secretariat.

Nicolas Farandouris from Strasbourg did not appear positive in an initiative that is carried out under the burden of extrajudicial, while Apostolos Gletsos in his post stated: “for tomorrow’s meeting of the initiative of Comrade Polakis, it is clear that if Mr. Kasselakis does not take the extrajudicial back, I have nothing to say with him.’

Party and parliamentary sources are said to be oriented to the fact that it would be difficult with the extrajudicial issue on the table for such a meeting to take place.

Apparently they are waiting for the difficult meeting of the Central Committee to be held first and then any meetings to begin. Yesterday the Ethics Committee ended up asking the former president of SYRIZA to take back the extrajudicial charge against the party.

Also, by a majority of 8 to 6, it was decided not to discuss the request for the deletion of Stefanos Kasselakis that Themis Moumoulidis had submitted.

A similar blame game took place in PASOK for the conduct of the debate.

Where it seemed that a golden ratio would be found for the day, the expectations were finally denied. On the part of Nikos Androulakis, it was said that it was not possible to change the date of the meeting scheduled for Friday evening, so that the telefight could take place.

They even stated that “the debate must not reverse the very good impressions left by the previous televised debate between the 6 presidential candidates and must be a politically promotional process ensuring the largest possible audience and, by extension, the greatest impact, conditions that are not met on Thursday, either the debate in a zone with low TV ratings or opposite the football match of the Greek national team».

Nikos Androulakis was attacked by XAris Doukas through his associates, accusing him of being fully responsible for the “wreck” of the debate. “Mr. Androulakis does not want the debate.

After 2 days of negotiations, which apparently, from the side of Mr. Androulakis, were shams, his staff announced today that the debate could not take place”, they argued.

For PASOK, the final stop of the electoral journey will be on Sunday with the conclusion of the second round.

The “journey” for SYRIZA is still long and everything shows that it starts with the meeting of the Central Committee on Saturday. Several executives predict that if there are no moves to calm the spirits, a “tough decision” will be made for Stefanos Kasselakis.
