“Is there a Ministry of Rural Development? Is there an OPEKEPE? Is there an ELGA? Where, then, did the great reformer Mr. Mitsotakis succeed?”
During his speech in Larissa, the president of PASOK-Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis, launched an attack on the government this morning, speaking of “administrative failures, discrediting the welfare state and widening inequalities during the five-year rule of the New Democracy».
“Five years of Mitsotakis the national system is collapsing, five years of Mitsotakis public health is in decline. We see what is happening in our schools. It’s not just the quality of the programs. It is not only the low salaries of teachers and doctors. Here we see phenomena of extreme violence in schools“, said Mr. Androulakis and added:
“Is there a Ministry of Rural Development? Is there an OPEKEPE? Is there an ELGA? Where, then, did the great reformer Mr. Mitsotakis succeed? Tens of thousands of producers throughout Greece are being held hostage».
As he noted, coming to Larissa from Thessaloniki he stopped symbolically in Tempe.«A huge trauma has remained in the subconscious of the Greek people, in their hearts, in their souls. That we still haven’t learned the truth and the perpetrators haven’t paid“, he emphasized.
“Our victory against New Democracy will not only be achieved in strategic and programmatic terms, it will also be achieved in moral terms“, pointed out the president of PASOK-KINAL to add: “This is the most important thing for me. Because here we have a prime minister in a closed system of power, who had the audacity to call it a “staff state”, to operate in a parastatal, corrupt, clientelistic way, disappointing even die-hard supporters of the New Democracy.”
A few hours before they open internal party pollsMr. Androulakis insisted on choosing to continue the strategy, emphasizing that “thanks to its political autonomy, unity and renewal, PASOK has placed itself at the center of political developments».
“You know very well that I fought a lot to get to the position of PASOK president. I was not taken by any hand, neither by the domestic oligarchy nor by the internal party barony. My strength is the simple people of PASOK, who stayed in the difficult times and see our faction has returned“, he concluded.
Forewording him, the regional governor of Thessaly, Dimitris Kouretas, expressed his certainty that Mr. Androulakis can guarantee unity.
