The Prime Minister’s announcement about the 35 new buses with anti-pollution technology on 11 lines of Attica – “Aim to reach 950 new buses”
“Strengthening public transport is not just a commitment. It is a reality that is implemented every day”, says the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in his post.
“Today, an additional 35 new buses with anti-pollution technology are integrated in 11 lines of Attica, offering more comfortable, but also environmentally friendly routes. So far, the urban transport fleet in Attica has already been renewed with 250 new vehicles, which offer better services to the passenger public and ensure accessibility to all our fellow citizens”, the Prime Minister emphasizes and adds:
“In 2019, 1,100 old technology buses were in circulation in Attica. Today there are 1,250 in circulation, of which 250 are modern, with anti-pollution technology. It is the first time since 2009 that such an extensive renewal of urban transport takes place. And we don’t stop there! Our goal is to reach 950 new buses in Attica by the summer of 2025, ensuring modern, more environmentally friendly and safer transport for passengers”, concludes Mr. Mitsotakis.
