The director of his press office spoke to ANT1 about the offices that Stefanos Kasselakis rented in Tavros, in order to organize his pre-election campaign for re-claiming the leadership of SYRIZA.

Eugenia Kountouri assured that the 1,500 m2 offices were rented exclusively for the pre-election period and will not be used later, as the contract expires on December 2.

“They have given it elsewhere on December 6, there is no purpose of using it after the elections,” he said and explained that: “With the website odikosmassyriza.gr, more than 4,000 people from all over Greece have declared their intention to become volunteers, so we will need space for the people who will work not only for Stefanos Kasselakis, but for SYRIZA”.

Regarding the comments that Kasselakis is working alongside SYRIZA and not for him, the press representative of his office stated that “Stefanos Kasselakis for the presidency of SYRIZA is working, I don’t think that every candidate does a parallel process, Stefanos Kasselakis for SYRIZA it works”.

He repeated that the contract went until December 2 because the second round is on the 1st of the month, adding: “If necessary, because we hope that it will come out of the first and there will be no need for a second.”

Finally, regarding the Central Committee’s block on the candidacy of Stefanos Kasselakis, he said that “the congress is competent to decide on the nominations, the Central Committee merely gives an opinion”.
