The Prime Minister made the customary visit to the Presidential Palace Kyriakos Mitsotakiswho shared his thoughts on, among other things, American elections with her Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

As Mr. Mitsotakis characteristically mentioned, “regardless of the outcome, Greek-American relations are strategic and their content will not affect”, noting that the geopolitics of Europe’s coming of age is becoming absolutely necessary. “The time has come for Europe to recover, by launching policies that will break away from the path that has been trodden so far.”

At the same time, he emphasized that “the great polarization and toxicity we see in the US is a problem in itself. As I say we may be rivals but we are not enemies. To know that our democracy is strengthened when the political dialogue takes place in a civilized way”.

In response, the President of the Republic noted that the importance of Europe’s geostrategic independence is highlighted, assuring that our country will cooperate with whichever president the American people choose.

“Today we filed the new tax bill – Committed to reducing taxes”

As for her economy and the tax reductionthe prime minister informed that today the new tax bill of the government, which remains firmly committed to reducing taxes, was submitted for consultation. “The more the scourge of tax evasion is tackled, the more we will deliver targeted tax cuts, as our sound budgets allow for targeted tax cuts especially for the middle class.”

At the same time, he said that the Greek government remains committed to the target of a minimum of 950 euros.
