Enigmatic was the answer given by Stefanos Kasselakis when asked on Friday morning about the possibility of leaving the SYRIZA in case his candidacy is blocked, while he answered enigmatically whether he will create a new party.

“I have not come to my homeland to ally with SYRIZA to belittle him. What is being done is small party deviations. Obviously they will not change their course to keep the keys to the party and those who make a living from this mechanism. This party will be anti-democratic, obviously I will not stay in an anti-democratic party” he said in a television interview.

When asked whether he will proceed with the establishment of a new party, he replied:

“It is not something that is pretentious whether I will make my own party. I accept suggestions to make my own party but that is not the issue. Let’s be patient not to be disappointed, let’s have democratic vigilance and everything will be fine”.

“Isn’t it a shame to have a whole convention without knowing the results of the ballot box?” asked the former president of SYRIZA.

“I am truly sorry for the ending Polaki – My father is an adult”

Regarding his complaints Pavlos Polakis for a false statement from him, he said “I am truly sorry for where someone ends up in their life because of their selfishness. This is so dumb. Apparently I was in shipping in early 2023. I have retired in March 2023 from all companies in the shipping industry. It is the classic tactic, to deal with the mud of Mr. Polakis and not with cooking the election result for the congressmen”.

Then, when he was asked about his father’s relationship with an offshore company that owes 11 million euros to the State, Mr. Kasselakis contented himself with answering “they are not valid and will be answered legally and correctly. My father is an adult, I have no involvement with my father and leave the family out. In April 2023, Alexis chose me for the regional office, in September I became president of SYRIZA”.

To another question, regarding the possibility of SYRIZA MPs leaving, he only said “don’t rush” adding “society as a whole will not stay in an anti-democratic party. They are going to take away their right to be elected in a blur.”
