“Let’s not look for orchestrators because no one believes them. Neither the most imaginative screenwriter, nor the most active fake news dealer believes this. Now in SYRIZA they see the consequences of everything that started happening from their party, such as the upper and lower square”, noted the government representative, Pavlos Marinakis, during the briefing for political editors, who were asked to answer whether New Democracy is favored after the rapid developments in the official opposition party.

Asked about the amendment tabled by PASOK, according to which the staff in the National Health Service should be included in the status of the heavy and unhealthy, Mr. Marinakis replied that this is an unpriced proposal. “Unfortunately, PASOK is following a tactic that reminds us of something, a similar letter was sent by SYRIZA in 2020, it’s just that now it has changed the color of non-costing and turned green, we will do this costing and tomorrow it will respond to the Parliament and the prime minister. Apparently in PASOK they see that SYRIZA is under dissolution and they are in a hurry to imitate it. Two questions: how much does this particular intervention cost and for PASOK to tell us what we need to cut in order to implement it. If PASOK wants to play the role of a serious opposition, tell us how much these initiatives cost and what we need to cut to make them a reality,” noted the government representative.

Regarding the possible meeting of the prime minister with the president of PASOK Nikos Androulakis, Mr. Marinakis repeated that they are waiting for information about possible dates from the PASOK president’s associates.

Regarding the meeting of Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan a few days ago, the government representative reminded that the government is not retreating from the national red lines.

In response to a question about the upcoming bad weather, which according to meteorological forecasts is expected to hit Attica in the next 24 hours, the government representative replied that “the Civil Protection mechanism is trying to be more and more ready. The relevant ministry is monitoring the forecasts and is ready.”
