Changes in its daily operation Parliament bring the unprecedented for the parliamentary developments in SYRIZAas the two new independences –Theodora Tzakri and Iota Poulou- drop Koumoundourou to the 3rd position in terms of parliamentary power, changing the balance.
The PASOK returns after years to the position of opposition officer, climbing the ladder and enjoying them privileges of the 2nd most powerful party in Parliament.
Privileges that mainly have to do with the order in which the parties are positioned and mainly who follows each time either the positions of the prime minister or the ND MPs (which remains the majority).
At the same time, Mr Nikos Androulakis is moving to the office of the leader of the official opposition on the ground floor – until today the president of the SYRIZA KO, Nikos Pappas, was there – while PASOK will have the possibility, among other things, of a greater number of collaborators.
It is recalled that 10 MPs are required to create a new parliamentary group from those who broke away from SYRIZA and are close to Stefanos Kasselakis, with the losses of Koumoundourou after the November congress amounting to a total of 6 MPs (Alexandros Avlonitis, Rallia Christidou, Kyriaki Malama, Petros Pappas, Theodora Tzakri and Iota Poulos).
SYRIZA had started the parliamentary term after the national elections with 47 MPs, with its strength in Parliament reduced by 18 MPs.
