Also, diplomatic sources emphasize, there was no agreement on the discussion framework for the delimitation of the EEZ and continental shelf.
Greek diplomatic sources give a strict response to the provocative statements of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
“The agenda was exactly the same as in the previous meetings. Bilateral, international and regional issues, especially in this particular meeting and the Cyprus issue,” the Greek diplomatic sources reply to Hakan Fidan.
“The Greek side raised the issues that have to do with the investigations being conducted for the electrical interconnection. No issue of sovereignty was discussed” is clarified.
It is also emphasized, there was no agreement for the discussion framework for the delimitation of the EEZ and continental shelf.
“The Treaty of Lausanne is clear and not open to misinterpretation: It refers to a Muslim minority. Turkey’s constant reference to a non-existent national minority is contrary to the due faithful application of international law,” it is pointed out.
“Greece will continue the policy of equality and egalitarianism for all Greek citizens,” the diplomatic sources point out.
