The Deputy Minister of Interior announced the creation of a unified management system for Real Estate Tax, municipal fees and lighting
The creation of a new, unified information system for the management of Real Estate Tax, municipal fees and municipal lightingannounced the Deputy Minister of the Interior, Vassilis Spanakis, speaking today at a conference of Panhellenic Federation of Property Owners and the Union of Property Owners of the Prefecture of Achaia, held in Patras, in the context of the “Development Forum” conference.
In particular, Vassilis Spanakis stated that “on November 5, a notice of intent to finance was issued for the submission of a proposal for the project entitled “Unified Management System for Real Estate Fees, Municipal Fees and Municipal Lighting”. This means, according to the Under Secretary of the Interior, “that the perennial request of POMIDA, for the issues of responsible declarations, for the issues of automatic interconnection with DEDDEEfor the issues of the automatic interruption of municipal fees without the submission of responsible declarations and for many other issues that arise and an owner should come and present E2, E9, PPC certificate and any other that may be needed, proceeds with the implementation of of the aforementioned project in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Governance and the Ministry of the Interior».
In fact, as he pointed out, “a final solution will be given and the request of POMIDA will be satisfied”. He also stated that “with the announcement of the Minister of the Interior, Theodoros Livanios, we are proceeding with the creation, in cooperation with the local government and the relevant ministries, of a single center for municipal fees and TAP, so that if any owner has a property in Thessaloniki, a property in Loutraki and a residence in Kallithea to be able to know what his debts are and to have a consolidated picture, as there is with tax obligations”.
As he added, “one of the requests of POMIDA is what will be done with the fines, with the surcharges, with the surcharge percentage, and finally with the creation of the center which we will advance in the coming months and will be implemented in the following years, able a debtor whether his debt to the Municipalities of the country is from a Municipal Police call or is from municipal fees or is from an account of a DEYA or from any other reason, the it is his duty to have a clear picture in real time”.
At the same time, Vassilis Spanakis proposed “the establishment of a working group on the relationship of the owners with the local government and the Ministry of the Interior to have a two-way relationship between POMIDA and the Ministry». He also invited the owners “who have debts to the municipalities to join the voted debt settlement in up to 60 installments”.
