“Close to 2,000 closed ones afternoon surgeries for the next two weeks”, as the Minister of Health informed the body Adonis Georgiadisreferring to the high demand and interest shown by patients for the afternoon free surgeries starting tomorrow.
Answering a topical question from PASOK MP Apostolos Pana about the Halkidiki hospital, he accused Harilaou Trikoupi of not supporting the measure of afternoon surgeries in the Parliament, declaring “present”.
“Politics is an applied art. Big words are fine, but I want to point out what everyone is doing in here!”. “You want a new health map, I challenge Mr. Androulakis to present him”, he said.
“The minister made special reference to the lack of radiologists in our country as well, saying that the problem will be addressed by utilizing technology, as within the next three months at the latest, the results of each magnetic and computed tomography, whether of a public or private hospital. Yes, Mr. Georgiadis, estimated that this measure will reduce the waiting time at emergency rooms by at least one hour. “This is another major reform of the Mitsotakis government”, concluded the minister.
