The conflict between ND and PASOK over the economy and tax policy is raging and intensifying. “There is no specific cost in fiscal policy. There is an agreement that we have made that the programs of the parties will all be costed in total before the elections in the general accounting office of the state”, PASOK state parliamentarian Dimitris Manzos said in a TV show on ERT and the phrase added more fuel to the fire of the political conflict with the press representative of the ND talking about palinades and “Green Syriza”.

With his post, Nikos Romanos said: “Today Mr. Manzos put the icing on the cake of the mockery of the citizens, admitting that there is no costing for PASOK’s proposals and that we will wait until pre-election documents are submitted to the General Accounting Office of the State and it will cost them! In the end, the description “green SYRIZA” is probably lenient because… it does injustice even to SYRIZA.”

With PASOK’s press representative Kostas Tsoukalas raising the gauntlet and insisting that PASOK’s program is priced.

“Mr. Romanos regurgitates the same reheated food parroted on the internet by the band of shifty perverters of the truth. We repeat PASOK’s clear position: Taxation of the banks’ surplus profits at a rate of 5% to 10% to support the weak social groups, an increase in rates on very high distributed dividends and no other tax increase. Gentlemen of the New Republic, you are tired and visibly tired.”

It was preceded by a statement by PASOK’s Head of Development Giorgos Nikitiadis:

“If the tax rates have to be increased incrementally, depending on the incomes and earnings that someone has, of course they should be increased.”

With Nikos Romanos throwing medicinal arrows and talking about “green Katrougalos”

Harilaou Trikoupis, however, informs that the measures they propose are costed and will be detailed in the amendments that will be tabled in the coming days. The frontal conflict is expected to culminate in the labor bill, with PASOK asking for free collective negotiations between the partners instead of the algorithm proposed by the ND and to prepare to file a relevant amendment for this specific issue as well.
