SYRIZA President Socrates Famellos has criticized the government regarding the manipulations in the operation of the railway.

‘Mr Mitsotakis, the conflict would not have been held and Greece would not mourn 57 unjustified lives if the ND commander had not been placed.“, Said the SYRIZA President, during a speech by the SYRIZA-PS Chalkidiki Prefecture, while also saying that the accident would not have happened if:

  • The control center in Larissa, which was destroyed in 2019 and was never made by the ND government, operated.
  • There was the secondary control center in Athens, in Charles, which would control, at least in the aftermath and to a second degree, the danger.
  • All this had been done, they would not travel with dizzying speeds on the same line the two trains.
  • If Mr. Mitsotakis had taken into account either the letter of the OSE President, or the resignation and letter of the Chairman of the Telemonic Committee, who had spoken of a major problem of safety on the railway.

SYRIZA-PS does not agree to control Mr. Triantopoulos only for breach of duty. The proposal submitted enables other offenses to be checked.
