The President of the Republic, Mr. Konstantinos Tasoulas, met at the Presidential Palace with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Dr. Konstantinos Kobo, who participated earlier in the work of the trilateral meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Cyprus and Israel.
Mr. Kobos conveyed the congratulations of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, as well as the entire Cypriot people to the President of the Republic for taking over his duties. At the same time, he addressed Mr. Christodoulides, an invitation to the President of the Republic, as he visited Cyprus.
The President of the Republic accepted the invitation, underlining the timeless brotherly ties between the two peoples.
The Cypriot Foreign Minister then briefed on the latest developments in the Cyprus issue in view of the forthcoming five -day Geneva Conference. In this context, the unmistakable dedication of Greece and Cyprus was re -confirmed to achieve a mutually acceptable, just and sustainable resolution of the Cyprus problem, within the framework of the decisions of the United Nations and the European acquis.
