“In the last period, fishermen have been mobilized throughout Greece rightly for the particularly demanding regulation that requires weighing with certified devices of all catch, separation into different packaging, on a daily basis, and a series of requirements that fishermen are unable to meet. And here I would like to note that there are solutions that can be implemented without being opacity and paralyzed. Unfortunately, we have serious deficits in recent years in the country’s negotiation in Europe by the government. And the other big issue we need to see is the motivation and financial support of fishermen to tackle the reduction of catch, mammal damage, climate change and the impact of foreign species on marine ecosystems, “the SYRIZA President concluded.
