In the conclusion of EPODAAMA and the actions that the government is taking from now on to improve the situation in the Greek railways, inter alia, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Dimas, speaking on Sunday morning on SKAI’s “Today” show and Fai Mavra.

Mr Dimas pointed out that the government is preparing a draft law that will be released next month in which both the recommendations from the EPAAMAM findings and other recommendations, such as from the Railway Regulatory Authority and the European Commission, will be incorporated.

“The aim is to present an OSE that will operate with more private economic criteria, there will be greater training and re -education of workers and more extensive use of technology will be made,” said Dimas.

He also pointed out that the government’s priority is The restoration of the Athens – Thessaloniki railway line stressing that “by 2027 not only the rail network but also the teleikos systems will be fully restored.”

Mr. Dimas specifically referred to the new gear system Which he said, efforts are being made to join the next time and which “will find where each train is located so that there is better information and accuracy”.

Referring to EPODAAM, Mr Dimas said that he “lost his credibility” and that the goal is to “staff him and strengthen him”.

For Patras – Pyrgos

Concerning Patras – Pyrgos Mr. Dimas said that 65 of 75 km will be delivered by the end of July. The remaining 10km from below Achaia to Patras will be released by the end of the year.

For E65

For the E65 motorway, Mr Dimas said that the section from Kalambaka, the connection to the Egnatia Road, is proceeding. In the spring of 2026 it will be circulated.

For BOAK

Finally, for BOAK he said that the road is opening and that “we will have the signing of a contract for BOAK and after ratification by the House next time.
