Who was Christos Rocophyllos
Christos Rokofylllos had been Deputy Minister of Industry, Deputy Foreign Minister, PASOK’s Ambassador of Aitoloakarnania, Ambassador of Greece to Paris and the Vatican, as well as the Governor of the Agricultural Bank, while he was a major lawyer.
He was born on November 19, 1931 in Amfilochia, he was married to Elsa Agathonikou, with whom he had a son Constantine and a daughter, Anna.
He had graduated from the University of Athens Law School and had a doctorate Diploma of Higher Legal Studies (DES) at the University of Sorbonne Paris.

In October 1967, he was first arrested by the dictatorship regime and imprisoned in the basements of Bouboulina Street. On August 31, 1974, after the collapse of the dictatorship, he was elected a member of the Democratic Defense Board of Directors, who negotiated and agreed to merge with PASOK.
In 1975, it was erased for a short time by the party. In 1977, he was elected for the first time a member of Aitoloakarnania with the PASOK ballot. From October 1981 to the summer of 1982, he served as Governor of the Agricultural Bank. In the period 1989-1993, he was a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. On September 24, 1990, at the 2nd PASOK Congress, he was elected a member of the Central Committee, and he was a parliamentary spokesman for the party from 1993-1994.
On April 17, 1994, at the PASOK 3rd Congress, he was re -elected a member of the Central Committee, and on July 8 of the same year, he took over as a deputy minister of industry for the first time.
On June 30, 1996, at the PASOK 4th Congress, he was re -elected member of the Movement. In 1997, he took over as head of the Greek parliamentary delegation in NATO.
In March 1999, at the 5th Congress of the Movement, he was re -elected a member of the JU and in April of the same year, he was appointed Secretary of the Foreign and Defense Department.
In July of that year, he took over as Deputy Foreign Minister -after the death of Yiannos Kranidiotis -until April 2000. On October 7, 2000, he resigned as a member of the PASOK Central Committee.
