The ADEDY Executive Committee met on Wednesday afternoon by PASOK Change President Nikos Androulakis.
“PASOK, for months, has opened the debate on the reforms needed by public administration. Immediately, I will present a comprehensive proposal for the state and how this will provide high quality services to the citizen and will not end up being a lavish state in the hands of each rulers, as is the case today.“Mr. Androulakis noted initially.
And in terms of the government’s debate on the abolition of the permanence of civil servants, Mr. Androulakis stressed:
“We consider the prime minister’s debate on the Constitution to be hypocritical because it does not prevent the Constitution from making some major changes. Because he did not lead the Constitution to have no evaluation and the laws he has voted for were not implemented. Nor is the Constitution responsible for the fact that the current government has the record of employees of employees”
“The permanence – as it is in the Constitution of Germany, in laws in France and other states – protects the legality of civil servants’ decisions against any intervention by powerful political centers or economic interests. And now, as we are talking about, there is the opportunity to dismiss a civil servant. After all, they have been fired around 1,800 because they have been judged or inappropriate since 2018“He added.
By developing PASOK’s suggestions, he noted:
“We believe that the evaluation should be an incentive for the civil servant. There must be evaluation and an incentive to get better and provide better services to the citizen. We believe that things have matured for the 13th and 14th salaries, starting with the 13th. Also, the story with the invitations that become bosses must end, which essentially creates a disadvantage in public administration. There are meritocratic promotions with full evaluation. Of course, the upgrade of ASEP is important. With ASEP there are problems we need to deal with. In closing, we also believe that the choice of administrations and bosses must be done with meritocracy. Today, a big part is the choices of each minister. This is a completely different approach to that of the current government. And in a mild, serious way, we need to approach all the reforms that the public administration and the state need, not in a manicular way that will eventually bring about any change, but will undermine a serious public dialogue”
The meeting was attended by PASOK the secretary of the KO. Dimitris Biagis, Parliamentary Spokesman Pavlos Christidis, Public Administration Secretary Panos Vlachos, Deputy Secretary Efi Stefopoulou, Press Spokesman Costas Tsoukalas and KO Director Yiannis Koutsoukos.
