At the Conference on Projects and Investments of Connectivity in the Mediterranean organized by Nice by Emmanuel Macron, the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis He stressed that interconnections, electrical and digital, are the arteries of modern economies.

The Prime Minister made special reference to two projects: Gregy Interconnector- the electrical interconnection between Egypt and Europe through Greece- and the Great Sea Interconnector (GSI)which he described as a vital link in the chain of the European Energy Market.

These projects, the prime minister said, are important for connectivity, but they are also of strategic importance to her European Union For one further reason, he stressed: that European companies are involved in their development.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized that freedom of electricity and data connectivity through underwater cables is non -negotiable.

The Prime Minister underlined Greece’s support to Economic Corridor IMECwhich will link India and the Middle East with Europe and reiterated Greece’s pursuit of cooperation with the countries involved in this flagship venture as a natural gateway to Europe.
