Six new digital services concerning Driving licenses and traffic licenses are now available for handling by the employees of Citizen Service Centers (KEP) across the country, through the infrastructure of Gov.gr.

The new services were implemented by the Ministries of Digital Governance, Infrastructure and Transport and Interior, With the aim of facilitating all citizens, of course. The ability to access the Services by the KEPs significantly expands the universality of service and enables citizens who do not familiarize themselves with digital technologies to process the relevant procedures.

The new services are part of the continuing project for the digital transformation of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, which is being implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Governance. In particular, it is added to a set of more than 20 digital services facilitated by owners and drivers, such as the process of initial driving license through Gov.gr, the digital transfer of a passenger and two -wheeled vehicle through the KEP, the removal of ownership of the passenger or passenger vehicle.

The six new services that can now be handled and through the KEPs are:

Driver’s license renewal
Replacement of a driver’s license
Copy driving license due to wear
Copy driving license due to loss or theft
Enable Digital Services for driving licenses without registered VAT
Copy of Traffic License Due to loss, theft or wear

Applications are submitted by an employee of KEPswith the citizen’s details automatically drawn with interoperability and specifically:
Photo and signature from myphoto app
A copy of a police ID card from ELAS
Health Certificates by Doctors, which are automatically incorporated into the application for a driver’s license renewal
The simplification of the procedures and their complete digitization abolishes the need for postal forms and supporting documents from the KEPs to the Transport and Communications Directorates, accelerating processing and reducing bureaucracy.
The design of Digital Services through the KEP and the digital transmission and processing of the country’s 13 Regions of the country’s 13 Regions, are part of the broader cooperation of the Ministries of Digital Government, Infrastructure & Transport and Internal Affairs, and was implemented by the Secretary of State and was implemented by the General Secretariat.

Through Gov.gr citizens can now start the process for the Extension of their driving license as well as to obtain a professional certificate (Say). It is an important service designed by the Ministries of Digital Governance and Infrastructure and Transport with the aim of facilitating citizens and limiting bureaucracy.
The new “Driving License Extension and/or Occupational Certificate (PLA) Service” is available:

Either directly from the https://drivers-vehicles.services.gov.gr.

More specifically, the application can be made either by themselves or by the Guide School of their choice, to which they can provide authorization through the application. The procedure includes the completion of the necessary information, the issuance and payment of the relevant fees, as well as to perform the necessary medical examinations for any category necessary. Drivers can then choose a driver school, complete their training and plan the theoretical and practical exams through the application. Following the successful completion of the exams for all categories selected, the license is automatically issued and the citizen is informed by the application to receive it from the Region he had declared at the request.
The new Service was implemented in the context of the cooperation of the General Secretariat of Information Systems and Digital Governance with the Institute of Informatics of the Institute of Technology and Research (ITH) and further contributes to the digital transformation of the Transport Sector, after being added to a set of more than 20 digital services and Transport. All the necessary information is automatically derived through the Interoperability Center of the General Secretariat for Information Systems and Digital Governance.
