The draft law of the Ministry of National Defense entitled “Approval of Defense Plans in the Defense for the Amendment of the FDI HN” FDI HN “and subsequent support” was submitted to Parliament today.

As stated in the analysis of the Conflicting Conception, with the evaluated arrangements of the proposed draft law, they are approved:

(A) The draft contract of no. 1 amendment of the contract 016b/21 contract approved by Article First of Law 4891/2022 (A ’27), for the supply of three FDI HN frigates with the right to purchase (option) of an additional frigate after their related equipment and providing services for their initial support, between the Ministry of Education. Group ”and

B) The draft contract of no. 1 amendment of the contract 017b/21 contract approved by article second of Law 4891/2022 for the subsequent support of them after related items and services, between the Ministry of National Defense and the Naval Group.

The analysis of the Conflicts also states that the need to join the existing fleet of the Navy, by 2028, of modern ships, which will enhance the operational capabilities of the Armed Forces sector, has led to the selection of the particular type of ship, as it is itself, as well as its only operations. Space, on the other, on September 28, 2021 signed an agreement of a strategic partnership for cooperation in Defense and Security between Greece and France, a specific provision was recorded to deepen cooperation in the fields of equipment and defense and security industries. As a result of the above agreement, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed [Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)] Between the Minister of National Defense and the French Manufacturers of the Naval Group and the “MBDA France” for the supply of the Navy, three new French fully equipped FDI HN frigates with the right of an additional fully equipped frigate, including the Option.
