The attitude of the president of the Hellenic Solution Kyriakos Velopoulos in the Parliament, criticized the government representative Pavlos Marinakis in an interview with Real fm.

Asked if this was all an organized plan to hurt the government, the government spokesman said “I’m generally not a conspiracy theorist. I am recording a new reality. That is why, together with the Minister of Education Sofia Zaharakis, we have taken this initiative to deal with fake news and encourage reading in schools. We are living a new, not only political, social reality, where due to the spread of the internet, of which I am a supporter, I am not guilty of them, lies are now an asymmetric threat. It is a key tool of many Greek opposition parties. Some lies may not be so dangerous, but some others threaten our country itself, such as the supposedly dead Maria in Evros and some others threaten social cohesion, such as the xyloli, the lost wagons and the supposedly dead that we are disappearing and they even do injustice to very serious discussions, such as, for example, the rendering of justice in the tragic accident in Tempe”.

Finally, answering a question about what former prime minister Costas Karamanlis said during his speech at an event for Anna Psarouda-Benaki, he said: “You understand that it is neither my responsibility nor could I ever interpret a former prime minister and even a former president of our faction, whom I and many others have served in the years he was.
