In its rotation Kyriakou Mitsotakis in his interview with 100.3 that “there is a great risk that the overall European funds for the primary sector will be put in doubt” states in a statement the SYRIZA, launching a fierce attack on the government and the prime minister.

“Today’s admission by Kyriakos Mitsotakis that “there is a great risk of putting European funds in doubt” for the primary sector, is a confession of failure, scandal and incompetence. The prime minister himself admits that the country is in danger of losing the subsidies that farmers and breeders are entitled to,” he notes in a statement.

“The government of the blue locusts has succeeded in disbanding OPEKEPE, leaving thousands of producers unpaid, depriving the agricultural economy of 1 billion already, and now threatening the very flow of European resources. This is not an accident, but the result of mismanagement, opacity and gluttony.”

“European aid is necessary to support real producers and not spoils for the client state of ND. We call on the government to immediately assume its responsibilities and ensure that no euro is lost due to its own incompetence”, Koumoundourou continues and concludes:

“The primary sector can no longer withstand the disastrous management of the Mitsotakis government, which has turned the country into the “reddish” of Europe.”

In his radio interview and to Ari Portosalte Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke in detail about the OPEKEPE case, emphasizing: “At the moment the Gordian link has been broken, the transition to AADE is not a simple matter, we have some delays in payments, but I ask for understanding. Payments are being made, but I ask for your understanding because the risk at this moment that European funds for the primary sector will be called into question as a whole is great.”
