It is not easy to decipher the relationship that SYRIZA will have from now on with Alexis Tsipras and vice versa. The new data that have emerged with the resignation of the former prime minister led the Political Secretariat last week to take a critical decision by creating a strong bloc in favor of Alexis Tsipras. At the same time a “red” line was drawn by Pavlos Polakis who claims that the former president’s initiative constitutes the fifth split of the party.

The questions for the next day are “raining” even from experienced executives of Koumundourou. Will they wait at some point to be “absorbed” by the new party? There are not a few who are convinced that the former prime minister is not willing to make any deal, any negotiation, but only after personal contacts will he decide with whom he will proceed. Perhaps, they have not calculated in SYRIZA that the parallel marches do not intersect anywhere. However, there are still many “episodes” to be written.

It is obvious that under no circumstances do they want SYRIZA to perceive the Political Secretariat’s decision as a “disorderly retreat”.

The eyes of parliamentarians and executives are focused on the opinion polls, as since it is in the zone of 6%, maybe even a little below, any loss rings a “bell” of non-entry into the next Parliament. Although no one can know how the balance will have been formed in about a year and a half from today.

Does this decision cause embarrassment or concern to Alexis Tsipras when he chose to follow a distinct course? There is no comment from his environment. He will remain steadfast in the contact he wishes to have with society from now on. There is enough time to prove that the decision of P.G. he has not “caged” him and as long as SYRIZA remains “hooked” on him, he will move forward on his own.
