The entire post of the President of the Republic:

“The speech of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Greek Parliament he was a historian. Deeply moving and human, political and at the same time emotional, a reason for self-denial and dignity.

The heroic struggle of the Ukrainians goes beyond survival, protection of their lives and property. It rises to the end defending sovereignty and political autonomy, the freedom of peoples to decide on their future, to shape their destiny.

Russia seeks at all costs to return to the age of spheres of influence and patronage of nations. With the nuclear threat, the absolute terror of generalized catastrophe was revived.

Against the authoritarian revisionism and the deadly expansion of the free worldview, the Ukrainian epic acquires universal and insurmountable significance for those who believe in self-determination and democracy, in law and not in the inhuman law of the powerful. The horrific barbarity of the war, the thousands of dead and wounded, the millions of refugees and displaced people, the material destruction of a country, bring back nightmarish memories and experiences.

They turn humanity back to the darker sides of its history. The brutal Russian violation of every rule of international and humanitarian law, the drama of the leveled Mariupol with the countless trapped, including our compatriots, the heinous war crimes and the executions of civilians in Boutsa and elsewhere, haunt our conscience.

Ukraine’s practical and strong support does not emerge as a legal sensitivity or strategic assessment. It comes down to the highest human duty, the most important responsibility to this priceless people who give their souls and their blood for all of us, for the free world and our universal values.

There is no excuse and inaction.

“Today, we are all Ukrainians.”
