“Now is the time for Europe,” said government spokesman Giannis Oikonomou, referring to the prime minister’s initiative for a European solution to the energy crisis, with the aim of achieving results at the May summit.
At the same time, the government is working on its own, national plan to support society in the face of rising electricity prices. This month alone, according to Mr. Economou, the interventions exceed 1.2 billion euros.
He pointed out that these interventions do not zero, but mitigate the imprint of accuracy.
Naive and suspicious political circles are working to collapse Europe
Mr. Oikonomou warned of “naive or even suspicious political circles” that are trying, as in the 1930s, to turn the economic crisis into a structural, political, state one, something that the people then paid dearly for.
He added that there should be no room for these forces “working on the collapse of Europe” to achieve their goal, because then things will be much worse for all of us.
