Jamie Carragher has given Premier League rivals Manchester City hope of winning the title despite the presence of Erling Holland at Etihad.
The Dutch transfer from Borussia Dortmund was confirmed on Monday and the Norwegian striker signed a five-year contract with British champions Manchester City.
The 21-year-old is already considered one of the best players in the world, scoring 86 goals in 89 games for Dortmund.
The Dutch move has strengthened the Manchester City team. The Manchester City team has won the Premier League four times since 2018 and reached the Champions League final in 2021.
Carragher acknowledges the move is a concern for Premier League clubs but says another title win for Manchester City is not a “decision”.
“This is a concern for the rest of the Premier League season,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
I’ve been talking about one of the great men in the world since I was very young, but I don’t think anyone will raise the white flag early because it’s so interesting how he fits into the team.

Pep Guardiola has not used a centre-forward in the last two years, but he is still very successful.
“So it would be very interesting to see how it evolves, but when it comes to the Premier League, it’s great that we’re now one of the world’s leading players in our league. I think that’s what it is.”
Of course, that doesn’t always happen at a young age, and his best year will be in the Premier League.
“So it would be really interesting for everyone to see it, but the obviously difficult suggestion would be to stop Manchester City.”
The Liverpool legend added: “They have a lot of players who don’t play in the middle at the moment. They hold the ball well and control the game well. Maybe they lose a little bit.”
So I don’t think this is an unacceptable conclusion. In other words, the city wins it all.
They have a good team and a good coach, and I don’t think coming to the Netherlands is that important in terms of the number of points they win. They always win points in the mid 90’s. This is a remarkable success.
He was simply bred to make a difference in games that trail behind the Premier League in the Champions League.
It changes, it grows and it still has a lot to learn. He is a young player. He learns to be one of the best soccer coaches in the world. He will bring things to his game.
But do not forget that he does not change much either. He is what he is. Strong, the pace of him, the goals he achieves…
“That’s why he wonders how he fits into Pep Guardiola’s technical style, which is a bit slower than what you see in the Bundesliga from end to end of football.”
Meanwhile, Holland said after moving to Manchester City: “I am in the right place to realize my ambitions.”
“Today is a big day for me and my family,” said Holland, the son of former city captain Alfie Haalande, who played for the club from 2000 to 2003.
“I have always been watching the city and I love this season. I can’t help but admire his style of play. It’s exciting and creates a lot of ideal moments for players like me.
“There are a lot of world-class players on this team and Peppy. [Guardiola] Being one of the best managers of all time, I think I am in the right place to realize my ambitions.
I want to score goals, win titles and improve as a player. I’m sure we can do that here. This is a big move for me and I am looking forward to the start of pre-season. “
