Manchester United have reportedly offered Christian Eriksen.

Ten Hag has made Eriksen one of the top signings this summer, along with Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

Danish players can now transfer for free as their short-term deal with Brentford expires at the end of June.

According to the Times, United moved in and offered to transfer Eriksen to Old Trafford.

United are said to want a positive relationship between Ten Hag and Eriksen to help secure the deal.

However, the Guardians report that Eriksen’s advantage is to return to Spurs or sign a new contract with Brentford.

United are reportedly not panicking and want the Netherlands to join the club’s pre-season tour, so they are planning a second offer to sign De John.

Eriksen spent seven seasons at Spurs and won the Serie A title at Inter under Antonio Conte.

Speaking about his future last week, Eriksen insisted that he take the time to decide on his next move.

“Such decisions can be very different from many standards. On an international assignment with Denmark, Eriksen said: ‘Sometimes in football it’s fast, sometimes it’s a bit slower.’

“You don’t control it yourself. I have to make the best decisions and not rush into anything.

“My phone is on, but I’m very aware that agents only call when something interesting happens.”
