Arsenal have delayed interest in Leicester City star Yuri Tillmans to focus on the deal with Manchester City striker Gabriel Magalhizas.

“Metope” had been negotiating with a Belgian representative for several months and was confident that he had signed a contract worth £25m for a midfielder whose contract expires in 12 months.

However, Goal reports that Arsenal have withdrawn from the negotiations because they are focused on other transactions. Among them, Jesus has priority.

Mikel Arteta has preferred to sign the striker above all other positions since the departure of Alexandre Lacazette this summer. Despite the interests of Chelsea, Real Madrid and Tottenham, Jesus wants to go to the Emirates.

The city wants 5050m for Jesus, but the Brazilians head to England to sign the deal, hoping to strike a 45-45m deal.

If the Jesus deal goes out of line, Arsenal may reconsider their interest in Tillman, which may depend on the agreed price.

Following the signing of Fabio Vieira, Arteta’s desire to strengthen the midfield is less important than it used to be.

The 22-year-old was in London at the weekend and was treated at a club before moving 2727m.

Leicester have offered Tillman a contract, and the Belgians never give up hope of staying in the Midlands.
