Xavi makes one last attempt to prevent Barcelona star Dembélé from joining Chelsea

The boss of “Barcelona” Xavi, in the interests of Chelsea, called on his leadership to make a final offer to keep Ousmane Dembele.

The French contract expired at the end of June and the Catalans have not yet reached an agreement with the former Dortmund winger.

Despite the injury problem, Dembélé gained Xavi’s trust later in the season and was a great figure as a regular player in the team.

Barcelona’s dire economic situation forces the transfer plan to be suspended. As a result, Leeds’ transfer to United Winger Rafinha is questionable.

This means Xavi is more determined to keep Dembele, who is in talks with Chelsea about a move to west London.

According to the Daily Mail, Xavi called on his council to meet Dembélé’s salary and move away from the Camp Nou and Stamford Bridge.

Signing Dembélé for free would be a big blow for Chelsea, given that the Catalans cost the first 1,111 million dollars just six years ago.
