Two-time world champion Jackie Stewart has ordered Lewis Hamilton to resign from F1. He says that the Mercedes drivers should not endure the “pain” of going on without a win.

Hamilton, a seven-time world champion, is the most successful driver in the history of the sport and is the eighth title to record in 2022 after missing out on the title from Max Verstappen last season in a controversial situation at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. price

But Hamilton’s best result this season was finishing third in Bahrain, Canada, with Mercedes unable to challenge the leader to win the race between Red Bull and Ferrari. The 37-year-old is sixth in the driver rankings, 98 points behind leader Verstappen. Mercedes needs to produce a significantly improved car in 2023 so it can get back into competition again.

After the turmoil at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December, Hamilton considered whether he should return to F1. And now, Stewart says Stevenage-born stars should drop out of the race and pursue their other passions professionally.

‘Is the time [retire]Stuart, 83. -He has music, he has culture, he loves clothes, and the exchange of pieces is absolutely suitable for him. He makes a lot of money so I’m sure he’ll be very successful and of course because he was the best of his time.

Stuart Hamilton is considered one of the favorites among F1’s top drivers, but if he can’t compete in any more championships, he will retire at the end of the season rather than continue. I say it is better.

“Lewis belongs to that group of Ayrton Senna and Allen Prost, or even Jackie Stewart,” Stewart told the Convex Conversation podcast. “He just became our conscience [retiring] Above, but I don’t think it will happen now.

But still, you can’t do it sooner, so it’s wise to stop rather than spend all the pain. He often played sports. I want you to quit now.”

The 2022 F1 campaign will continue at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone over the weekend of July 1-3.

Nico Rosberg affirms that Carlos Sainz Jr. “does not depend on him to be world champion”.
