The International Automobile Federation (FIA) will announce, this Wednesday (29), in Paris, the inclusion of São Paulo as one of the races of the 2023 Formula E season – a category of motorsport with electric cars.
The race will take place on March 25, 2023, on a circuit that will take advantage of the structure of the Anhembi Sambadrome. The president of SPTurismo, Gustavo Pires, was in Monaco, in April, representing Mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB) in the negotiations.
Confirmation was conditional on approval by the FIA board and publication of the calendar. Once the hammer has been struck, São Paulo will have, for the next five years, Formula E races in the first half and Formula 1 in the second.
