Arsenal risk being hijacked for a second transfer target after Manchester United offered Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez a rival.

The Gunners moved into the executive seat to sign Argentina after submitting an improved offer of .534.5 million earlier this week, but he is still believed to be short of Ajax’s listing.

Despite the lack of Champions League football, Martinez is said to “want” to move to Emirates, but Mikel Arteta intends to use him primarily as a left-back.

United have also been interested in a 24-year-old who enjoyed success under Eric Ten Hag in Amsterdam and was named Ajax Player of the Year for his performance last season.

according to tyc sportsUnited did not want to miss out on Martínez to their Premier League rivals, so they submitted a £34.5 million bid in line with Arsenal’s bid.

Ajax doesn’t buy this, but United is currently working hard to find versatile defenders and is hoping the lure of working with Ten Hag will give them an edge over the Mets.

Martinez has a great relationship with the Dutch managers, but Arteta can look forward to a clearer role against Arsenal, who see him as a team player who can cover left-backs, centre-backs and defensive midfielders.

If Arsenal missed Martinez, Chelsea would also take advantage of his move to lead United star Rafinha, which would be the second big blow in a few days.

The people of north London pioneered the Brazil signing and were the only clubs to make a formal offer before Chelsea agreed to bail them out and pay 55.55 million.

Meanwhile, United realized that Ajax had been in difficult negotiations and negotiations with the other two players (Julian Timber and Anthony) fell through and the Eredivisie champions demanded a high price.

Ajax have already lost Ryan Grabenberg and Nozea Mazlawi to Bayern Munich, and Sebastien Haller is about to move to Borussia Dortmund.

The Dutch side does not need funds and is in a solid financial position. That is, Martinez, Anthony, and Timber only sell if they get a lot of offers that are too good to turn down.

United are currently hard at work on a deal with Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong and hope to agree a price soon. In addition, we have signed a contract with Tyrell Malacia at left back with Feyenoord for 15.7 million contracts.
