I thought it was going to be a tough year coming here last year, so maybe they didn’t think it would take long to get back, but my knees were rough.

“But I was happy. I was happy at home. It was a good year, playing tennis or not. My kids are fine. My wife is wonderful. We are happy at home. I’ve been traveling for years, so it’s great to be home.

“I didn’t know if I should go here, but I’m happy to be here now!”

Some defending champions, such as Simona Halep and Rafael Nadal, have to prepare for the match, while hopeful Heather Watson, young Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz, will be on center court on Sunday, Djokovic himself can be seen.
