Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte have been fined for their clash at Stamford Bridge and the Chelsea manager has also been given a one-match ban.

Chelsea and Tottenham managers clashed repeatedly in Sunday’s 2-2 draw in west London.

They initially parted ways after Pierre-Emile Hoybjerg equalized for Spurs midway through the match.

The post-match handshake quickly escalated to the second row at full time when both coaches received a red card from referee Anthony Taylor.

Both coaches admitted to cheating, and Tuchel received a larger fine and a one-game suspension.

His suspension is pending clarification of all written reasons for the decision. That means they will be allowed to sit on the bench for Sunday’s game against Leeds at Elland Road.

“The Independent Regulatory Commission today ordered Thomas Tuchel to be fined £35,000 and sent off the touchline during a match, and Antonio Conte to be fined £15,000 for breaching the FA’s E3 rule,” the FA said. it’s a statement.

Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte have admitted that they behaved inappropriately after the whistle following a Premier League match on Sunday 14 August 2022, and both managers have been sent for a requested written hearing.

“These sanctions are subject to appeal and Thomas Tuchel’s one-match suspension is pending the reasons for the Independent Regulatory Commission’s written decision, which will be published in due course.”

Tuchel remains deeply disappointed with Tottenham’s many decisions in a close derby and insists that Taylor should no longer referee Chelsea’s matches.

A separate FA investigation into post-match media comments about the match is ongoing.

Video assistant referee Mike Dean erred this week by not asking field referee Taylor to check the on-field monitors after Christian Romero lifted Mark Cucurella into the air inside the Chelsea box.

The game continued and Kane equalized in the 96th minute.
