Pannaxiakos left for good, with 12 teams in this year’s Women’s Volleyball League

This year’s Women’s Volleyball League will be held without Pannaxiakos. EOPE at its last board meeting “sealed” the withdrawal of the Naxos team and informed that the championship will finally be held with the 12 teams that duly declared their participation in the event.

In detail, the announcement:

“At the 61st meeting of the EOPE Board of Directors, which met on Thursday, August 18, it was decided:

The non-completion of a team in the Women’s Volleyball League after the newest document of the Pannaxia AON. The team of Naxos withdrew its declaration of participation. The championship will be held with the 12 teams that declared participation.

APS Filippos Verias did not participate in the Men’s Pre League championship. The Board of Directors decided to complete the category, in accordance with article 10 of the General Regulations for the Organization and Conduct of Championships and to grant a wild card to a team from Zone B, setting the following criteria:

A. Mandatory: Zone B team

B. In addition, for the evaluation of the applications to be taken into account:

Field facility specifications

1. Proprietary facilities

2.Specifications for conducting volleyball matches (painted playing field, approved floor)

3. Availability of facilities for the needs of the National teams.

In the championship of the A2 National category Women’s Zone B, in which the club AO Kavala declared its inability to participate, the Board decided not to complete the category and to hold the championship with 12 teams. Also, the change of the start date of the games from 8/10 to 29/10/2022.

In the championship of the A2 National men’s category, the Board of Directors granted a wild card to the APS Ifaistos Florina club”.
