Palmeiras players take trophies in Passa or Repass and memes take internet

After winning the Libertadores 2021, some Palmeiras players went to SBT to try to raise another trophy: the Passa ou Repass. And they did.

Forwards Rony and Deyverson and defender Renan were on the station’s stage with Celso Portiolli and got the better of the trio formed by singer Jottapê and country duo George Henrique and Rodrigo.

There were many memes created after yet another title conquered. “The greatest champion of Brazil lifting yet another trophy is on his timeline”, published the Palmeiras account on Twitter.

“10 Brazilians, three Libertadores, four Copa do Brasil and one Passa ou Repass”, joked another follower. Another netizen posted a video of the alviverde crowd celebrating what he said would be the title of the competition on Silvio Santos’ channel (see below).

According to data measured by Kantar Ibope, SBT beat Globo by practically triple the audience during the match that defined Palmeiras as the winner of the Libertadores da América Cup, this Saturday (27), in a final played against Flamengo.

The presence of two Brazilian teams, once again, was a high point for the final. In the time range between 17:00 and 19:35, SBT obtained 26.3 points of average and 31 points of peak. At the same time, Globo, in second place, had an average of 9.3 points, while Record was content with 3.4 and Band, with 1.9 points in Greater São Paulo.

With the three-time championship, the alviverde team is equal to São Paulo, Santos and Grêmio as the biggest winner in the country in the most important South American competition.

The concern is now to seek the Club World Cup, an unprecedented title for the association. The competition should take place in February, in the United Arab Emirates. The biggest opponents will be Chelsea (ING), current Champions League champions.

Last season, Palmeiras participated in the Worlds, but finished in fourth place.
