And now… Euro!
Its organization Germany is delayed, of course, even after the 2024 is far away, with the draw of the qualifiers, however, the countdown begins!
To take them in order, the Nations League completed, with Greece securing its rise to League B. The first place also means something else, even more important: In the event that our national team does not manage to reach the final phase of the 2024 European Championship through the qualifiers, then the second chance is “triggered”., which was also secured by Georgia, Turkey and Kazakhstan, who finished top of the other League C groups of the Nations League. Always, all of them, with her condition that they will not qualify through the “normal” qualifying phase.
The couples, which have already arisen, on the way to the second chance are Greece-Turkey (one match in Greece on 21/3/2024) and Georgia-Kazakhstan. The two winners will meet in a final (the venue of which will be determined by a draw) on 26 March 2024. Greece have the home advantage as they were second best in League C and above Turkey, who finished with 13 points , two less than Greece.
But what about the Euro qualifiers?
First of all, let’s say that the draw is scheduled for the other day Sunday, October 9 at 1 in the afternoon!
Greece, therefore, has “locked” how it will be in 4th capacity group. Therefore, data will have three theoretically stronger opponents in the group. On the other hand, Bulgaria, Turkey, Kosovo, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Luxembourg, North Macedonia and the Faroe Islands are “spare”.
As you can see, in the first two groups there are behemoth groupswhere will it be huge failure if they don’t qualify for the Euros. On the other hand, it also has… opportunities!
THE Hungary, for example, in the first group, which in recent years has made leaps of progress, it is neither Spain nor Italy nor Belgium. THE Croatian, also, lacks the momentum of the recent past. Theoretically all this. From the second group, it is one thing to fall with France or England, and another with Scotland or Finland.
Let’s see the groups in detail:
1st group: Denmark, Portugal, Belgium, Hungary, Switzerland, Poland + Netherlands, Croatia, Spain, Italy (as Nations League group)
2nd group: France, Austria, Czech Republic, England, Wales, Israel, Bosnia, Serbia, Scotland, Finland
3rd group: Ukraine, Iceland, Norway, Slovenia, Ireland, Albania, Montenegro, Romania, Sweden, Armenia
4th group: Georgia, Greece, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Azerbaijan, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Faroe Islands, North Macedonia
5th group: Slovakia, Northern Ireland, Cyprus, Belarus, Lithuania, Gibraltar, Estonia, Latvia, Moldova, Malta
6th group: Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein
We remind you, the first two from the group get the “ticket” to the stadiums of Germany.
