Opinion – Na Pinta do Surfe: Surf trip – you deserve to do one

by

Practicing your favorite sport in seas with perfect waves, living with people who have similar interests and good energy: the result of this combination could not be more satisfying. The dream trip is possible, worth it and is always transformative.

To facilitate this experience, there are companies specialized in offering the best surfing travel packages, taking into account the best wave seasons for each region and with all the necessary structure and support.

Costa Rica, El Salvador and Peru are among some of the most popular spots for Brazilian surfers of all levels. With perfect waves, good accommodation, quality food and affordable prices, these places have everything you need to make an unforgettable trip.

The Boat Trip where you stay on board, navigating behind the best spots has become a very interesting option. Indonesia and the Maldives Islands are the most sought after destinations in this segment, according to the Nivana agency.

I recently had the opportunity to participate in a Boat Trip in the Maldives Islands with amateur surfers of all levels and ages. With an excellent accommodation structure, good food and a highly trained crew, we still had the support of coaches and professional surfers Wenderson bildo (Brazilian Longboard Champion) and Wellington Reis (Sup Wave world runner-up) who accompanied the group on this trip. They know what it takes for you to catch the best waves of your life.

With the experience gained in competitions around the world and the fact that they own the school Three Brothers Surf located in Camburi on the North Coast of São Paulo, they are accredited to carry out these trips with complete safety and certainty that the evolution will take place through the applied teachings.

It’s not just in the water that they help and guide, but on the boat it’s common to see them teaching the best positioning and passing precious tips to improve the surfing of the guys.

The package for this type of trip has a professional photographer who records from outside and inside the water and also with a drone, all the waves surfed. Ike Azeredo from Ike Films was responsible for immortalizing these moments in this opportunity. The material is presented at the end of each day and you feel the true spirit of surfing. This moment is magical, you can analyze your performance and enjoy the wave your friend caught, the vibe is positive and the feeling of friendship is intense. You spend your days talking about surfing, equipment, the trips that each one has already taken and you know the life stories of each member of this adventure.

When I started this trip I was accompanied by some friends and in those ten days I was able to meet people who have the same interests in common, people who love surfing and are looking for evolution not only as surfers, but also as human beings. Surfing really takes me to places I would never go if it wasn’t for surfing and I know people I would never meet if they didn’t surf too.

After surfing several spots, diving in the shallow coral reefs full of fish, seeing sharks, rays, turtles up close and sailing in the company of dolphins, it is impossible not to stop to think how much this life can provide us with fantastic experiences. You begin to understand what is really valuable, what really matters and what is worth living for. You start planning your next surf trip, figuring out how much you need to save per month and thoughts like “I was going to change the car, but I’m going to take this money and go on another surf trip“. You start to replace the accumulation of things with experiences and that is transformative.

My advice is: invest in yourself, increase your experience and enjoy this life, after all, it’s all there for us to pursue, just have the will and get organized. We find ourselves somewhere in this world, surfing and with a smile on the face of someone who is not letting life go unnoticed.

aloha
